Breakfast, Lunch & Snack

These are the foods we provide for children 12 months and up. We will also provide these foods for younger children if the child has already tried these foods and parents would like their child to eat what we provide. Specific modifications will be made for children under 12 months old. For example, children under 12 months old will not be given cow’s milk or cheese and we will check with parents before giving items such as cereal O’s or crackers (Annie's Bunnies/Goldfish). We do not provide formula, baby cereal or food for children under 12 months old that is different then what we normally provide.

We do not provide special diets such as gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, etc. We can accommodate for no dairy, no pork and no beef. We are not able to accommodate for no chicken.

Lunch is served between 11:45-12:00pm

These are the foods that we serve for lunch:

1. Legumes (beans, chickpeas, lentils, split peas) with brown rice.
2. Pasta & steamed vegetables (chickpea pasta, broccoli, carrots & cauliflower) with ground beef (can be served without beef).
3. Stews/soups: different variations. All stews/soups are made with several vegetables (carrots, peas, green beans, cabbage, squash, potatoes, celery, corn, broccoli, cauliflower), a grain or pasta (quinoa, rice, pasta) and a protein (beans, ground beef, chicken).

All the food is made from scratch, except the pasta (we make the pasta sauce but not the pasta).

For breakfast (served from 9-9:15am) and afternoon snack (after nap) we serve:

1. Fresh cut fruit (apples, bananas, grapes, mandarin oranges, strawberries, pears, watermelon, cantaloupe, blueberries)
2. Milk (cow’s milk, almond milk, soy milk)
3. Cereal or crackers (Cereal O’s, Annie’s bunnies, Goldfish)
4. Other items: cheese, apple sauce, yogurt
