Little Sunshine Home Daycare

My husband and I are so thankful to have found Little Sunshine for our daughter. She has been attending the daycare for the last two years (since she was 10 months old) and it is everything we could've hoped for - a place that is safe, caring, familial, clean, interactive and professional. Cecilia, Yuri, and the rest of the LSHD team have helped us so much as first-time parents and have been an integral part of our daughter's childhood development. We highly recommend this daycare.

Little Sunshine is a blessing for my little one. Ceci, Anna and Yuri are the most amazing team ever. It's a warm, loving, protective environment for kids, home away from home. My daughter loved going to the daycare everyday. They took care of small things e.g. giving prunes while she was constipated- without us even asking them to do so. They also helped us with potty training and got our little one ready for preschool. We loved the vibe, activities, music dance and fun! Cannot be more thankful for the love, warmth and support over the years ( Ceci has the most wise advice for confused first time moms like me).

My son has been going to Little Sunshine since he was 2.5 and is now 4 and sadly moving on to preschool. We've visited so many different day cares and preschools prior to finding Little Sunshine and we immediately knew it was the right choice. Cecilia and her team are highly qualified, warm and kind -- and best of all, the kids LOVE them.

My son has developed so many new skills since he started, socializing with other kids, learning to share and play together, getting through potty training, picky eating (I swear he eats things there that he never touches at home), following consistent schedules, as well as music time, art and activity times, and learning his letters and numbers.

Little Sunshine pays close attention to healthy and homemade foods served at snack and lunch times, I'm so thankful that my picky eater gets healthy meals while he's away from home. They also make sure to celebrate big milestones for the kids -- holidays, birthdays, and graduations and makes each child feel so special.

The entire home is clean and well organized -- shoes off, floors and toys cleaned on the daily. And Cecilia and her staff are always available to answer any questions or concerns, with daily updates on how they're doing. It's truly a special place and my son always comes home excited to tell us about his day.

This is the best daycare available and you're incredibly lucky if you get accepted.  Before enrolling, my husband and I went on at least ten different daycare tours.  My son attended Little Sunshine Daycare for one year until we moved.  I was crying so much when I had to move him because no other daycares I found could measure up.  Little Sunshine is extremely clean (I can't emphasize this enough), structured, and caring.  They feed the children organic foods and teach them so many skills including manners.  Cecilia, who is the owner, is extremely knowledgeable regarding child development. My son learned a lot about sharing, using his words, and knew all his letters and colors in both English and Spanish by the time he was 2 years old.  He was so happy there and he loved the other children there as well.  I can't say enough about the daycare.  It's just the best.

Our daughter has been going to Little Sunshine Home Daycare for last 5 months. We are extremely happy with the care our daughter is getting. The food and hygiene is top notch. Cecilia is very thoughtful and the kids are learning and developing their skills. I would send our future kids here as well.

Little Sunshine is the best treasure that we have found through a recommendation. Cecilia and her staff have really helped raise our daughter to her great potential and continue to encourage her growth. A simple thank you is not enough to express our gratitude in raising our only child with love, care & much more.
1)      Incredible and Caring Staff: Cecilia and her staff are very patient and attentive to each child, making drop-offs so much easier. (Our daughter cried EVERYDAY upon drop off AND pick up at another daycare.)  Shortly after attending Little Sunshine, each and every staff member knew just how to calm her with either a favorite toy, book or activity upon drop off.  While at pick up, our daughter always wears a smile. It was this smile from day one, when we knew this is an extraordinary place where she feels happy, safe and very comfortable.

Another example of their professionalism includes this experience:  Like many parents, my wife and I were a bit uneasy when we first placed her at this new daycare. That uneasiness was quickly dissolved when we were sent pictures and text updates of our daughter throughout the day for the first couple of weeks on a DAILY basis. It was a relief to see her playing with her new friends and engaging in arts & crafts throughout her day.

2)      Endless Encouragement: Cecilia and her staff are very encouraging. From this, my child has learned her colors, alphabets, numbers, listening to storybooks, how to play and get along with everyone and how to enjoy doing arts and craft projects. One HUGE bonus is also becoming potty-trained at Little Sunshine in a short period of time! Such developments have been exciting to see.

3)      Very Clean Environment: Every day the kids are taught to put away their toys into the "used" toy basket.  Most of the children participate in cleaning up after themselves.  The staff then cleans all the used toys at the end of each day as well as the play area, which really cuts down on germs & limits kids getting ill throughout the year. Our daughter has learned to clean up after herself at home as well while singing her "clean-up" song (as they do at the daycare).

4)       Wonderful Home-Cooked Organic Meals: Cecilia has the best cook there. Breakfast and lunch has been one less thing for us to worry about for our daughter.  Our daughter highly enjoys her snack time and mealtime at Little Sunshine as she eats until her heart's content. She has developed a great palate at this daycare.

As comfortable and loving Little Sunshine has helped raised our daughter, we can't imagine life without the help of Cecilia & her staff who has been there for our daughter since a very young age. Together with Little Sunshine, our daughter has developed a wonderful and strong foundation and continues to enjoy life as a child. So, if you are looking for a place where you can be confident to give your child the best care without any worries, Little Sunshine is your child's place: full of love, care and encouragement.

Our daughter was at Little Sunshine from age 18 months until 3 years old, and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this amazing environment for small children.
The staff (it feels strange to even call them that because they feel like close friends or family) are warm and friendly. They take wonderful care of the children and treat them with respect and kindness. Cecilia's home is extremely clean, well-taken care of, and decorated in a welcoming way for both kids and adults. On top of this, the food they serve is home-cooked, HEALTHY, and very tasty. It's hard to express in words how great Little Sunshine really is in words, but in short - these people take care great care of the kids in their care and after visiting a number of potential places for our daughter, it was clear that this place is above and beyond the rest.

Excellent Daycare.. As parents we can be assured kid is at very safe and caring place. Our daughter was at this facility for almost 1 & 1/2 years. We visited almost 40-50 daycare providers before we settled for Little Sunshine. Very caring staff, awesome home made organic meals and lots of care provided like they comfort kids, apply sunscreens while playtime n potty training help. My kid and us loved the place... we were a big family by the time we left the daycare.

I had one son at Little Sunshine from age 2-4 and now my youngest is there (age 2).  I love how kind and caring the staff is, and how clean and safe the facility is.  My son asks to go to school in the morning and sings his teachers names on our drive in!  They provide a good educational foundation while keeping kids engaged in arts and crafts, singing, and play.  I always know how my son is doing and I trust the staff completely.  I've always struggled with the balance of work and parenting, but Little Sunshine helps make everything easier.  I feel so fortunate to have found this place and highly recommend it.

Little Sunshine is an amazing home daycare run by kind and caring professionals. My toddler has been attending for over a year, and we know that he eats, behaves and sleeps better because of the wonderful care and attention given to him and the other kids by Cecelia, Anna and Judi. The homemade food is great, the environment is safe and clean, and the kids learn so many great activities and skills such as art, music, puzzles, and sharing. My toddler has a wonderful time every day and he is in great hands. 

I would highly recommend this daycare, and we are sending our next child there too. We are so lucky to have found it through another parent who referred the day care (their daughter was such a well-behaved toddler at Starbucks that I had to find out what they were doing for daycare). 

After spending over 3 months looking for the best daycare for my daughter, I came across Little Sunshine, I was immediately impressed from the moment they opened the door. The daycare is very clean and organized and Cecilia and her team are amazing, caring and fun. My 5 month old smiles when we get to the door each morning and I am more than confident leaving her in their care every day. I cannot recommend Little Sunshine enough, it is the best daycare in the south bay (and I toured A LOT of them).

I never knew we have an excellent home daycare for infants and toddlers very close to our house. We were looking for a place for my 3-yr. old grandson to spend some days with other toddlers before heading to preschool and I noticed that kids are dropped off in this house so my daughter and I inquired and we were surprised at the tour given us by Cecilia. I cant believe how beautiful, clean, safe and organized the facility was. Please look at the photos posted in their website. One struck me most is this experience. One day while my grandson was in the facility and I could hear kids playing, laughing and giggling in my driveway. So I texted Cecilia if I can take a look over the fence how my grandson was interacting with the other kids. I saw the kids with cotton cloth hats covering their ears as well while playing in the facility backyard wooden deck. I never expected Cecilia can even think of these hats. The kids are properly protected from the sun's rays, although summer big, sturdy and colorful umbrellas are all over the deck. We never knew this when we first registered my grandson. These little things mean a lot to parents. For first timer parents, I suggest to check out this facility for your precious children and see for yourself. Also, on my grandchild's first day at the facility, it was so nice of Cecilia to forward a photo of Ryder to his mom that he is already enjoying his stay with the other children. That gave so much peace of mind for my daughter knowing that her child is in good hands.

This is one of the cleanest daycare I have ever been to. I am a big hygiene freak, and this place impressed me right away. Starting from entering the place, parents/child remove their footwear outside and put them away in their cubbies inside the home. Not seen any other place teach this. This is exactly how we our son has been taught so far.
Very well organized. The toys and book are all places as per the age. Any kid who puts the toy in their mouth is taken away and put in a basket which is sanitized at the end of the day. Not seen/heard any other day care do that.
The bathroom is very clean, each child having their own napkins, diapers, wipes, etc all names. Any teacher who goes to the bathroom would only use the labelled things of that child. They also potty train.
Coming to the dining area, each child gets stainless steel bowls and drinking bottles. They provide organic food.
Nap room - each child gets their own bedding which is good unlike other daycares where they are made to sleep on the carpet.
Outdoor play area is spacious for 12 kids to play.

They don't go by waitlist, but they interview families with the child and decide if your child is the right fit. Very professional and kind owner. Loved this place. Highly recommend if your very particular about cleanliness and hygiene. I would keep this as a bar to visit other daycares in future.

We wholeheartedly recommend Little Sunshine Daycare. This home daycare is exceptionally clean, safe, and comfortable for children.

The teachers are wonderful and foster kids' curiosity through various engaging activities such as coloring, hand printing, and crafts. The lunch and snacks provided are healthy, and the kids absolutely love them.

Our 4-year-old son has been attending Little Sunshine for 1.5 years, and he loves going there every day. He adores his teachers, friends, and the food. Moreover, he used to speak only Japanese, but now he can communicate in English and even knows some Spanish words!

We are truly grateful for the people we've met here.

Little Sunshine Daycare has been a wonderful experience for our entire family. Our three kids flourished there for several years. The caregivers are exceptional, healthy homemade food, bilingual, warm and loving environment and the staff is simply amazing. We can't recommend Little Sunshine Daycare more highly!

They are amazing. When I visited Little Sunshine first time for the tour (at that time I already had seen other daycares), I was so impressed with their hygiene controls. Shoes off inside home, Towels for each kid, Clean and well-organized toys, Cribs for younger age kid for naptime, etc.
Cecilia, the owner, is very reliable and trustworthy. She answered all questions with clear explanations or showing actual place/stuff. As a new mom, some of those questions I asked might be weird or even rude but she was so patient.

And teachers are all kind and professional as well. My daughter had been going there since she was 1 year 3 months for 2 years. During the time, they all were always supportive and gave her above and beyond care. She graduated from the daycare already and I miss those moments... We view ourselves as extremely lucky to have found Little Sunshine home daycare for her, for me, for my family.
If you are looking for a home daycare very clean and safe with warm care for your little one, I definitely recommend this place.

*They provide good healthy meals. When my daughter was struggling with constipation they gave extra care and provide her something (like prune puree) to ease the situation and it was helpful!!

Our son has been going here since he was 4 months old, and we are so grateful to our friends who recommended them.  

Before our son started attending Little Sunshine, I was worried as all mothers would be.  It didn't take long for me to feel at ease because I was highly informed of his daily activities.  For example, during his first year I would get a daily summary (printed piece of paper) which told me exactly how much milk he drank, how long he slept, and what times his diaper was changed. Yes, they even noted when he went #1 or #2.  I also received several text messages early on with pictures of our son. He looked so happy while playing on the activity mat, in the bouncer, or hanging out with the other kids.  

The socialization skills and interaction with other children has been amazing.  Cecilia and the other care givers use positive reinforcement to teach the children how to play together, share, and work through their disagreements.  With our son being an only child, these are very difficult skills to teach at home.  Little Sunshine also uses a play based learning style to teach the kids their ABCs, and basic educational material.

It's been almost 3 years since our son's first day at Little Sunshine and he has received a solid foundation of social and educational skills to move on to preschool.   We are extremely grateful to everyone at Little Sunshine who as cared for him.

Little Sunshine is a top notch daycare and so much more. We were so grateful to find them when our 1st son was about 6 months old and was struggling at a different daycare. Our 2nd went from about 4 months old and Cecilia, Ana, and Yuri are just so loving, caring and thoughtful. Little Sunshine is very clean, they serve healthy meals (home made) and snacks, and they also prep the kids for pre-school. I know there is more I'm not thinking of but in a nut shell we love them and will forever be grateful.

We love it here!  We started little sunshine when our son turned 2 through a referral and the transition from being at home to coming here was better than expected.  As a parent, I love it here because they provide a safe, super clean, fun, attentive and loving environment that is also educational.  They provide healthy HOME COOKED meals and snacks!!  My son loves it here because he gets to socialize with other kids as well as do arts, crafts, music, and play just to name a few.  The owner and staff are so warm and loving to the children but yet very professional and organized.  As a working parent, I am so grateful to have found this place!

We Love the place and our daughter loved going there every single day. I still remember the first day that i sent my daughter to this place. I was so nervous and was worried when I left her, within few minutes Cecilia sent me pics of my daughter happily enjoying with her new friends. She sent me pics mid day and in the evening. Though that did assure me that she was happy I was still worried. Picked my daughter in the evening and asked her how her day was. She immediately said can I come back to this day care tomorrow morning.  Never expected this from her, I was so sure that this was the place for her. We had seen 40-50 daycare centers in bay area and had tried few, never was she so happy. From then on she never complained about going to this place. Cecilia and her staff are like family. Anna is so good with kids. Kids love her. They are Amazing. Kids are fed organic home made food. Facility so clean . Bathrooms are so clean that I can sit and eat in that room without hesitation. Kids look clean and smell good. My daughter has graduated from the day care but we still meet her friends for birthday parties, which is so precious. This is a hidden gem. We were lucky to find this place. I travelled every day from north san jose to Sunnyvale to drop and pick her up in this place. We love this place and highly recommend it.

Our girls have both attended this in-home daycare since they were infants. My oldest daughter is now almost 4 and now in preschool. She attended from 6 months to 2.9 years. Our second who is 9 months started at the beginning of the year 2012.

It has to say something about this place when the only reason they posted on yelp was at the request of parents. We all wanted somewhere to recommend this place to families. 

Our family can't say enough wonderful things about this place! When we were looking for childcare for our family a few years ago, we went everywhere from in home to centers, and when we went to Little Sunshine we stopped looking. We knew this was the place for us. Cecelia is amazing. She is easy to communicate with, honest, has integrity, and everything is centered around what is best for the child. She is kind, gentle, patient but not a push over with the kids. She also keeps a low ratio. She has 2 other ladies helping her. Anna and Judi are also amazing (kind and gentle). These folks just LOVE kids and when you go to tour you can tell. Most of the kids DO NOT want to leave at pick up.

The home is CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN. In fact, my child I think is cleaner at pick up than at drop off some mornings :). Plus no TV for kids at anytime! Art projects include my infant (as much as infants can do). It is great to see her little hand prints on stuff. Everything is age appropriate. Plus, toys are toys! Girls/Boys play with trucks, trains, and babies. No gender bias here!

Food- food is included that is home cooked...yummy goodness. Both my kids eat better there than at home! My preschooler eats veggies there that she doesn't at home (cauliflower). Everything is fresh...no sugary fruit cups here. No 'sweets' for rewards like ice cream, etc. that I notice at preschool centers. 

My preschooler is consistently getting praised for how well she listens, follows directions, uses her words at preschool. This is as much my husband and I as it is the foundation that she received at Little Sunshine.

We couldn't ask for a better team to care of our children when we are working. We have the up most respect and trust for Cecelia and the environment she has created to care and educate our little ones!

Little Sunshine is simply the best home day care. My daughter absolutely loved it and more than thrived there. Little Sunshine combines a beautiful and clean educational environment with kind, affectionate and attentive caregivers. They take such great care of the children. They make wholesome food and provide age appropriate, fun activities. They go out side and go to park sometimes too. It is a warm, loving place that make both children and parents happy! Cecelia also offers Parents night out too, which is great. I can't say enough good things about Little Sunshine.

I love this place and so does my daughter she's been going there since she was a baby now she is 3. She learns a lot everyday it amazes me and my wife what she knows. Cecilia and her staff are great they cook organic food for the kids sing songs learn Spanish and English words make awesome projects for all events. I recommend this day care it's one big family when you see all the kids get along. I'm going to be sad when have to go to preschool. My daughter always comes home happy and that makes my day.

Our DS has been going to LS since he was 3 months old and he loves it. Couldn't feel better about the care my DS is getting. Highly recommend CeCe and her team!
